We each carry within us the power of healing, but many of us have closed our eyes to Creator's transmuting light. Our lack of faith and compassion may have closed the doors to the healing power of Divine Love.
As we live a life of helpfulness and compassion, the healing powers within us begin to grow. It is love that is the healing power, and it is faith that empowers love to heal.
Jesus healed in many diverse ways. Sometimes he healed by laying on of hands, sometimes he just spoke the Word, and sometimes the patient was required to perform an action before he was healed. He healed in all these diverse ways because illness and disease are produced in many different ways, but to be healed, faith was always required. This faith always existed in the healer, but also the one desiring to be healed needed to have the faith that he could be healed.
Yet, there is other healing besides the healing of the physical body.
There is spiritual healing. As we choose to share unselfishly with others through acts of loving-kindness, we feed the healing power within us. In this way, as our spiritual self is healed, it also produces a power within us that is healing to our physical body. We each have the power to heal.We can begin from where we are at this moment. Begin by thinking positive thoughts. Negative, or "down" or dark thoughts may produce disease. Positive energy is healing. As we find ways to help others, especially when we expect nothing in return, the energy of Christ, or Divine Love will grow within us and this is a tremendously healing power.
May we learn to live in a state of unconditional love where healing is spontaneous and continual.
